American Town & Country Alliance

David Tessitor joined with Richard T. Donahoe, MRP, in 1992 to form the American Town & Country Alliance (AT&CA). The Alliance is a pro-active public policy organization which addresses the issue of suburban sprawl by bringing together urban, suburban, and rural interests and working to get all sides of the sprawl process to realize they have a common problem which can benefit from common solutions.

As project director, Dave has led numerous challenges to the policies which have landed Pittsburgh in the mess it is in today. Some of these have included major court battles which have gone as high as the state and federal Supreme Courts. More recently, Dave has spent the majority of his efforts working to implement the Open Government Amendment to the Pittsburgh City Charter which he took 6 months to write and 2 more months to revise.
